Job summary

City Emergency Management Agency in Downtown St. Louis, MO seeks an Emergency Management Specialist (CEMA) - Planning to coordinate interdepartmental emergency planning, develop EOPs and annexes, and lead planning during EOC activations. The role requires a strong background in risk assessment, THIRA processes, and FEMA guidance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Homeland Security, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
Plus two years of experience in emergency management, emergency planning, homeland security, or a closely related field.
Experience must include plan development, policy writing, risk assessment, or emergency preparedness program coordination.

Responsibilities

Coordinate emergency planning with City departments and regional partners.
Develop and maintain the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and hazard annexes.
Serve as Planning Section Chief during EOC activations and coordinate IAP development.
