Job summary

Tetra Tech is expanding its Disaster Recovery team with experienced Site Inspectors to support operations across the United States. This on-call, as-needed role may involve field, remote, or hybrid assignments based on client needs and project requirements.

As a Site Inspector, you will document disaster-related damages to public infrastructure, collaborate with engineers and managers, and help support funding determinations and recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspection, construction, or related field.
• Experience collecting, documenting, and organizing field-based data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, mobile data collection apps, cloud-based information systems, and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and desktop inspections of facilities and infrastructure impacted by disasters.
• Document damages to public buildings, roads, bridges, utilities, and other facilities.
• Capture photographs, measurements, observations, and site conditions.
• Develop clear and comprehensive site inspection reports.
• Coordinate site visits and communicate inspection requirements to stakeholders.
• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other recovery programs.
