Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery / Grant Management / Public Assistance Consultant to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. This on-call, as-needed role offers flexible deployments including remote, onsite, or hybrid work depending on project requirements.

You will provide technical expertise, grants management support, and compliance guidance to maximize recovery funding while adhering to laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of FEMA Public Assistance experience or disaster recovery consulting involvement.
• Understanding of FEMA policies, eligibility requirements, and PAPPG guidance.
• Experience with project formulation, PW development, and grant documentation review.
• Experience responding to RFIs and managing reimbursement requests.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to travel across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to applicants through FEMA Public Assistance lifecycle.
• Support program delivery from PDAs to project worksheets and reimbursements.
• Interpret FEMA policy, apply grant requirements, and identify compliance risks.
• Organize, validate, and maintain project documentation for audits.
• Track milestones, provide updates to leadership, and support deployment readiness.
