Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Cost Estimator for the Disaster Recovery Cadre to support FEMA Public Assistance and other recovery programs by developing accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure repairs and reconstruction. Assignments may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs.

Preferred candidates have 2+ years in cost estimating, strong Excel and document review skills, and willingness to travel for field deployments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in construction estimating, engineering, architecture, construction management, infrastructure planning, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through project scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating activities.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions cost estimates.
• Estimate costs for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other public infrastructure.
• Develop clear, defensible estimate documentation for audits and reviews.
