Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. You will develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work, with on-call, field-based, remote, or hybrid deployments as needed.

Position involves evaluating damaged infrastructure, validating scopes, and assisting with funding eligibility determinations.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related fields.
Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
Familiarity with modern construction practices, facility assessments, project scope development, and construction inspection activities.
Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
Develop conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other public infrastructure.
Review engineering reports, plans, and contractor proposals for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain project records and supporting documentation for audits and program reviews.
