Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee Disaster Recovery and COOP documentation, ensuring RMF CP controls, 508 accessibility, and rigorous version control. The role interfaces with engineering and cybersecurity teams to validate content and produce audit-ready materials.

The successful candidate brings 5+ years in technical writing for DR/COOP contexts, holds an active Secret clearance, and has experience producing RMF artifacts and evidence for audits.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing, DR documentation, or IT governance.
• Experience writing COOP, DR, or RMF-related documentation.
• Experience preparing RMF artifacts and audit materials.
• Ability to validate content with engineering and cybersecurity teams.
• Maintaining version-controlled documentation repositories.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Disaster Recovery runbooks, procedures, COOP plans, and contingency documentation.
• Ensure RMF control requirements are met, especially CP (Contingency Planning).
• Maintain version control, document history, naming standards, and archival procedures.
• Ensure materials are 508-compliant, accessible, and properly formatted.
• Assist with AARs, CAPs, DR test reports, and DR readiness documentation.
• Support audit teams by preparing evidence, diagrams, and documentation packages.
• Coordinate with continuity, engineering, cybersecurity, and database teams to collect updates and validate accuracy.
• Maintain content in shared repositories and knowledge management systems.
• Track changes across systems and update documentation for new architecture and processes.
• Develop templates, style guides, and document standards for DR/COOP materials.
• Support continuous improvement of documentation workflows and compliance alignment.
