Job summary

AECOM is seeking experienced Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Case Managers to support applicant intake, outreach, and case management across 27 Texas counties. Travel to regional and satellite locations is required, up to 100 miles roundtrip, 2-3 times per week.

You will serve as the primary contact for applicants, help them navigate program requirements, collect documentation, and maintain case notes while protecting confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School + 4 years of case management experience or equivalent experience in a housing recovery program.
• Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid US Driver’s License for travel to regional locations; travel up to 100 miles roundtrip, 2–3 times per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform outreach, intake and assessments of applicants and gather required documentation to establish program eligibility.
• Maintain a caseload of applicants with regular contacts to comply with program guidelines.
• Maintain client data systems, case notes and timely entries; upload and correctly categorize documents.
• Provide timely updates to applicants regarding case status and next steps.
• Attend meetings and trainings; participate in pre-construction and key release events with applicants.
• Assist applicants with temporary relocation selections when applicable.
