Job summary

ICF’s Disaster Management Division offers a 10-week full-time internship beginning in early June 2027. The role may be hybrid from Tallahassee, FL, Baton Rouge, LA, or Austin, TX offices.

The internship emphasizes grants, reporting, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination within FEMA/HUD related disaster programs. Ideal candidates have at least 30 college credits in relevant fields, with a completed bachelor’s degree and graduate-level enrollment preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 30 complete college level credit hours with an emphasis on Public Policy, Finance, Emergency Management, Homeland Security or similar field
• Completed bachelor’s degree and enrollment verification in a graduate program focusing on Public Policy, Finance, Emergency Management or similar field

Responsibilities

• Assist management with tasks associated with grants, reporting, financials and other administrative tasks
• Review the accuracy of data presented in written documents and systems as part of a team
• Support project/task delivery and reporting
• Design end-to-end data visualizations/reporting solutions from data extraction to presentation
• Interface with clients and contractors to solicit information and communicate deadlines
• Assist case managers and grant administrators to advance applicants through review or project stages
• Support special initiatives and research needs
• Assist with development of SOPs, checklists and policies
