Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Disaster Engineering Specialist to join our team in the United States. You will conduct site inspections to document infrastructure damage, develop scopes of work, and support FEMA public assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 5 years in-field experience or 2 years with professional registration.
• Domestic travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to validate and record infrastructure damage.
• Develops and reviews scopes of work and cost estimates.
• Reviews and analyzes engineering reports and as-built plans.
• Makes recommendations regarding claim eligibility.
• Develops or evaluates hazard mitigation proposals and benefit-cost analyses.
• Works with applicants to prioritize their projects and communicates final determinations.
• Provides analyses and updates reports and coordinates with FEMA.
• May coordinate basic to moderately complex site inspections for FEMAPublic Assistance.
