The role oversees content strategy, editorial planning, and disaster-response communications, partnering with Development and Operations to support fundraising and awareness efforts. Requires 5+ years in storytelling in nonprofit contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 5+ years in writing, photography, videography, or multimedia storytelling.
• Ability to produce high‑quality content under tight deadlines and in challenging environments.
• Experience gathering stories from the field and turning them into human-centered narratives.
• Proficient with WordPress/ Gutenberg, ActiveCampaign, and major social platforms; strong visual content sense.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out content strategy aligned to organizational priorities and fundraising goals.
• Maintain core messaging, talking points, and brand voice across channels.
• Plan, write, and edit weekly blog posts and long-form stories.
• Lead disaster activations content across blog, email, website, and social.
• Collaborate with Development and Operations to share timely messages.
