Job summary

Northwest Care LLC in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join a 24-hour, person-centered care team. You’ll support adults with disabilities with daily living activities, foster independence, and help participants engage with their community.

Paid training provided and opportunities for advancement across day, swing, and night shifts. The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication, with a starting pay of $25–$27 per hour depending on shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED required.
• Age: Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Background checks: Criminal history (OR) and driving background clearance required.
• Physical ability: Able to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Preferred certifications: CPR/First Aid, Oregon Intervention System (OIS).

JOB TITLE: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

LOCATION: Bend, Oregon

TYPE: Full-Time

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE: Day, Swing & Night Shifts

PAY: $25-$27/hour(depending on shift)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communication & interpersonal skills: Clear, empathetic, patient, adaptable, and organized
• Preferred certifications: CPR/First Aid, Oregon Intervention System (OIS), and Oregon Tier 1 and 2 core competenciesor willingness to receive all essential training as required

WAGES

DSP staff will be assigned a primary recurring shift at the time of hire; however, all DSP employees must be willing and available to work alternative shifts (day, swing, or night) as needed to ensure adequate coverage. Alternative shift assignments may occur in response to callouts, emergencies, or operational needs and will be compensated accordingly.

Day Shift: $25/hour

Night Shift: $27/hour (includes $2/hour differential)

Significant changes to an employee’s regular schedule, work location, or assignment will be communicated with at least two weeks’ notice whenever possible.
