Job summary

Pro Med HealthCare Services seeks an Ophthalmologist/Optometrist to perform disability exams under Federal contracts. The role is in-person in Columbus, GA, with a full-time, M-F schedule and 8:00 AM–4:00 PM hours.

You will assess veterans and federal personnel, provide vision care, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and contractual guidelines. Candidate must have OD or ophthalmology training, active license, and proven experience in clinical exams and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Education required: Doctor of Optometry or Ophthalmology.
  • Active license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinically competent vision care within scope of practice.
  • Complete C&P exams and, when required, order/interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Review medical history and service records to support disability determinations.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely chart submissions (24–48 hours).
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and other staff to ensure high-quality care.
