Job summary

MRG Exams seeks a dedicated Optometrist to perform disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA process. You will conduct comprehensive eye exams and review medical records, focusing solely on assessments and documentation.

The role is non-treating, with a stable, full-time schedule from 8a-4p, Monday through Friday, in-person. You will document findings and complete VA forms in a secure portal, ensuring compassionate service to Veterans.

Qualifications

• Active OD license in good standing.
• Experience with Visual Field Testing (VFT) preferred.
• Strong ability to review medical records and assessment data.
• Proficient in documenting findings in electronic portals.

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team in performing medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. Join MRG Exams to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans. This is a rewarding non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
• Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication. Disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8a-4p
• Location: In-person role.
• Caseload: 4-6 Veterans per day on average.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary tools for documentation.
