BAYADA Home Health Care in Honolulu is seeking a compassionate Habilitation Technician to work as a Companion/Buddy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will support clients in daily activities, foster independence, and participate in community activities to help them live their best lives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Be at least 18 years of age
Patience, empathy and dedication
Passion for providing opportunities to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

Build meaningful one-on-one relationships with clients a few hours weekly.
Engage clients in activities they enjoy, including community-based events and hobbies.
Support clients in developing independence (budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transit, exercise).
Ensure client safety and well-being at home and in the community.
Provide companionship with dignity and respect, promoting inclusion.
Enjoy and learn from experiences on Oahu as a supportive Buddy.
