Job summary

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota seeks a Coordinator, DRC to provide specialized disability services, accommodation coordination, and assistive technology support to students with disabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, business, computers, or related field with at least 3–5 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Master’s degree preferred and experience with assistive technology and universal design.
• One or more years of experience as a lead employee with scheduling and training responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of disability accommodations, accessibility, assistive technology, and regulations.
• Conducts interactive intake meetings to assess documented disabilities and determine accommodations.
• Develops and manages individualized accommodation plans.
• Collaborates with instructors, deans, faculty, and campus resources to maintain course integrity while providing accommodations.
• Promotes universal design and accessible environments across campuses and systems.
• Coordinates assistive technology services and troubleshooting to ensure accessibility.
• Manages administration of private DRC exams and serves as reader/scribe when needed.
• Assists with course substitution petitions and coordinates with Success Coaches and Registrar.
• Provides leadership and training to staff and faculty on accessibility.
• Serves on college-wide accessibility committees and shares best practices.
• Maintains department databases, data for reports, and budgeting inputs.
• Supervises temporary, part-time, and student workers and develops work schedules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in psychology/education/business/computers
