Job summary

The Career Systems Development Corporation Center Disability Student Program seeks a dedicated professional to guide and support disabled students through counseling, assessment, and placement activities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Two years’ experience working with disabled individuals.
• Ability to interact effectively with the public and maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Screen disabled trainees and assess needs for the Job Corps Program.
• Coordinate living arrangements prior to trainee arrival.
• Collaborate with Regional Office and Health Services Director to review applications.
• Perform vocational assessments of trainees.
• Develop work experience sites and trainee placements.
• Identify and conduct Center-wide training for the Disability Program.
• Liaise with state and community agencies representing the disabled.
• Coordinate with Vocational Rehabilitation Agency and SSI enrollment for eligible trainees.
• Coordinate referrals to Health Services for speech therapy and evaluations.
• Provide counseling services to trainees and assist with problems.
• Support the Mission, Vision, and Culture of CSD.
