Job summary

Responsibilities include supervising the team, monitoring KPIs, handling privacy matters under HIPAA, and ensuring prompt completion of priority cases.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree in business or related field is required.
• 5-7 years of relevant office experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or willingness to take a course.
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and PHI confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to monitor and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit workflow and assign Disability Assistants to tasks daily.
• Train new and existing Disability Assistants in duties.
• Monitor customer service queues and escalate calls as needed.
• Track key performance indicators and deadlines.
• Act as liaison with agencies and clients regarding cases.
• Review disability supplements for accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
• Determine information exchange and mailing requirements under HIPAA.
• Contact clinical sources to obtain timely information.
• Review MA21/MassHealth databases to identify quick completions.
• Coordinate transportation for client examinations and schedule adjustments.
