The School of Education (SOE) at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a tenure-track, full-time assistant professor position with an opportunity for a joint affiliation with the UC Davis MIND Institute beginning Fall 2027. We seek applicants whose research and teaching offer transformative and critical insights into disability justice, neurodiversity and inclusion at the elementary and/or secondary level.

In addition to maintaining a robust research agenda, the applicant will teach in our teaching credential/MA program. Furthermore, we invite applicants whose work lies at the intersection of disability and policy, reading, writing or teacher preparation as these areas are critical to teacher education and/or whose research addresses the intersectionality between disability, race, language, multilingualism, gender, and/or sexuality.

Responsibilities

Conducting and maintaining a productive program of research; seeking extramural support for research and graduate student support; teaching graduate, undergraduate and teaching credential courses; providing mentorship and research guidance to master's and doctoral students (Ed.D. and Ph.D.); and serving on school and university committees.
