Job summary
Metrocare Services seeks a dedicated Job Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities within a community setting, helping them define goals, develop tailored employment plans, and build essential life skills. The role coordinates between CDDS, employers, and center staff to align services and outcomes.
The position requires assessing strengths, creating personalized strategies, tracking progress, and documenting results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in human services or equivalent; plus 1–2 years' experience serving individuals with disabilities.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language a plus.
- Competent in communication, ethics, confidentiality, and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop effective job coaching and employment plans.
- Communicate with individuals to understand goals and ambitions.
- Assist individuals to overcome barriers and set goals.
- Assess strengths and teach utilization.
- Guide individuals in completing job tasks.
- Help develop motivation and skills.
- Assist individuals with disabilities in social and life skills.
- Advise on workplace accommodations.
- Monitor and evaluate progress and maintain records.
