Job summary

Global Connections to Employment in Tampa, FL seeks a Workforce Development Specialist to assist team members with disabilities in maintaining employment, building job-related skills, and pursuing career advancement.

You will evaluate employment needs, determine supports and accommodations, deliver on-site retention services, and collaborate with staff and external partners to reduce barriers and promote long-term workplace success.

Qualifications

• Experience in vocational rehabilitation, job placement or related guidance work.
• Knowledge of workforce development and disability employment.
• Ability to assess employment needs and provide individualized support.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members with disabilities in maintaining employment and pursuing advancement.
• Evaluate employment needs, determine supports and accommodations.
• Deliver on-site retention services to promote performance and independence.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors and stakeholders to reduce barriers.
• Support placement or transition services for career growth.

Education
