The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Rehabilitation Counselor (S) for the Asheville VR/IL Unit in Buncombe County. The primary role is to help individuals with disabilities pursue career goals and independent living by counseling, planning, and coordinating services.

You will evaluate eligibility, develop plans with consumers and guardians, provide supportive counseling, monitor progress, and collaborate with community partners to secure suitable employment.

Formación

• Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling or a related field as required.
• Current certification as a CRCC is preferred/required to qualify.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate professional diagnostic data to determine eligibility and required rehabilitation services.
• Develop written plans of services with the consumer and guardians.
• Provide rehabilitation services within a guidance and counseling relationship and offer supportive counseling.
• Monitor consumer progress throughout the service delivery process.
• Coordinate with community partners to help individuals with disabilities obtain suitable employment.
• Document service delivery and case progress in the case management system as required by agency policy.
