Job summary

Civicworks, the Division of Disability Determinations in Buffalo, New York, seeks a Disability Analyst 2 to review Social Security disability benefit claims under Title II and Title XVI. You will evaluate medical evidence, vocational information, and claimant circumstances to determine eligibility, and prepare detailed written case assessments.

You will analyze complex medical reports, conduct interviews with claimants and medical professionals, and document findings with clarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human biology, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, psychology, nursing, physical therapy, or related medical field.
• Or bachelor's degree plus two years of experience adjudicating Social Security disability claims.
• Ability to evaluate medical and vocational evidence to assess disability eligibility.
• Strong written communication skills for detailed case analysis and documentation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass FBI background investigation.
