Job summary

ViaQuest in Lafayette, Indiana is seeking a full-time banking and finance support role to maintain individuals’ finances per service plans. The position ensures timely payments of rent and utilities, manages petty cash, and processes monthly reconciliations, collaborating with program managers to maintain accuracy.

Preferred candidates hold a four-year degree in accounting or related fields; those with 3+ years in accounting or developmental disabilities are welcome.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in accounting, social services or human services is preferred.
• Candidates without a degree but who have 3+ years of experience in accounting or developmental disabilities will also be considered.
• Displays strong communication skills and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the individual’s service plan and per company policy.
• Ensure individual’s basic needs such as rent and utilities are paid consistently and timely.
• Ensure spending money and petty cash is available at each site per the individual’s service plan.
• Submit cost of living to county boards, as applicable.
• Order checks for individuals timely.
• Set up online bill pay for individuals, as applicable.
• Review monthly finance packets and complete monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Work collaboratively with Program Managers and other management to ensure accuracy with individual’s finances.

• Monitor individual’s finances and benefits as outlined in the individual’s service plan and per company policy.

• Experience working in Microsoft products, such as Excel and Word.
  • Supervisory or management experience is a plus
• Displays strong communication skills and possess excellent decision-making and time-management skills.
