Job summary

Distinction LLC in Saint Louis, MO, seeks a seasoned supervisor to direct Residential Living and Recreation/Health Programs on the Job Corps Center. You will lead Center Shift Managers, ensure thorough training, and uphold safety and compliance across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling or work-related field.
• Three years of broad-based professional Job Corps or similar training program experience.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Five years of supervisory or administrative experience in education, vocational training, social services, or rehabilitation.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage departmental activities, including coordination of the CSS program.
• Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and implement staff changes as approved by the Center Director.
• Oversee the SGA and Student Leadership Program, and Y-2-Y.
• Assist in the preparation of the departmental budget; monitor/control expenditures.
• Develop new and revise policies and procedures affecting the Social Development Department.
• Coordinate Group Counseling Sessions: Personal Development, Conflict Resolution, Money Management/Budget, Home Sickness, and Personal Relationships.
• Coordinate on and off-Center evening programs to include opportunities to enhance academic and English Language skills.
• Oversee the scheduling and operation of Center sponsored recreation activities and programs.
