Job summary

Merit Health Central in Jackson, MS seeks a Director of Women’s Services to provide leadership, planning, and operational oversight for labor and delivery, postpartum, nurseries and related departments. The role drives quality initiatives, regulatory compliance and interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver high quality patient care.

The Director will supervise staffing, budgeting, policy development, and staff development while aligning with the hospital’s mission and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of women's services departments, including staffing, resource allocation, safety, and quality.
• Develops and implements departmental goals aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness for women's services.
• Recruits, trains, and mentors staff, promoting education and development.
• Collaborates with providers, surgeons, and other stakeholders to improve care.
• Develops and enforces policies for women's services in line with standards.
