Job summary

American Kidney Fund seeks a Director of Website Development & Design to lead UX/UI strategy, frontend development, CMS architecture, and accessibility across the main site and microsites. You will guide a major rebuild and ongoing maintenance to ensure user-centered, accessible digital experiences for patients, caregivers, and the public.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing and requires collaboration with communications, fundraising, programs, and IT to achieve

Qualifications

• Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, education, advocacy, or mission driven organization.
• Familiarity with large scale CMS implementations and content migration.
• Analytics platforms and search performance tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead website strategy, architecture, and governance for AKF’s primary website and microsites.
• Oversee frontend development, CMS management, and technical supervision of web projects.
• Ensure accessibility, WCAG/ADA compliance, and AI-informed content strategies across digital properties.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals and drive measurable results.
