Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, education administration, curriculum and instruction, instructional technology, digital learning, or a related field.
• Doctorate in Education preferred.
• Background in instructional design, blended learning models, or e-learning program development.
• Experience managing budgets, grants, and educational technology initiatives.
• Five (5) years or more of experience in school or central office administration, including experience in online/virtual environments.
• Understanding of online education practices and regulatory compliance including FERPA and ADA.
• Experience analyzing data to improve online enrollment, student outcomes, and delivery of online instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the online learning and instructional innovation plan and align with the district strategic plan.
• Oversee online scheduling, enrollment, policies, and practices with ASD leadership and stakeholders.
• Direct, coordinate, and supervise virtual programs and staff, including recruitment and coaching.
• Coordinate instructional design projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and licensing in online education.
• Serve as SME in best practices for large-scale online programming and learning.
• Oversee vendor contracts for the Virtual Campus program.
• Monitor licensing and copyright compliance.
• Coordinate student orientation, success coaching, and graduation checks.
• Facilitate district/state assessments for online programs.
• Collaborate with ASD leadership to hire/train staff and align online support.
• Provide faculty training to develop instructional technology competence.
• Ensure virtual programs meet standards comparable to traditional programs.
• Collaborate with IT to manage LMS and related software.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate ASD staff.
• Build relationships with colleges and community organizations.
