Job summary

Allentown School District is seeking a Director of Innovation and Instructional Technology to lead district-wide instructional technology initiatives, collaborate with supervisors and executives, and coordinate services for students, teachers, and staff.

The role focuses on expanding K-12 online learning through Canvas and other platforms, guiding professional development for educators, and ensuring technology integration aligns with instructional priorities across the district.

Qualifications

• Must hold PA Instructional II Certificate and Supervisory/Principal Certificate.
• Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• Experience leading and supervising instructional technology programs aligned with district goals.
• Proven experience guiding curriculum integration of digital tools and professional development for educators.
• Ability to coach and lead a team of instructional technology specialists.
• Strong knowledge of technology integration and current ed-tech trends.
• Experience providing professional development for adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology integration support for teachers and grade-level teams.
• Model, co-teach, and develop resources to support classroom instruction.
• Lead and coordinate district-wide instructional technology initiatives.
• Develop PD plans based on data on staff tech skills.
• Oversee digital resources and online learning programs (Canvas, etc.).
• Collaborate with Curriculum Supervisors to vet virtual content and courses.
• Evaluate and recommend technology materials to enhance K-12 instruction.
• Monitor and improve integration of technology across classrooms.
