Job summary

Niagara University seeks a Director to lead the Office of Violence Prevention & Education (OVPE) and coordinate its prevention and education initiatives across the campus. The Director will oversee staff, programming, budget, and grant activities, collaborating with community partners to advance trauma-informed, inclusive practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in higher education, public health, counseling, social work, psychology, criminology/criminal justice, education, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in gender-based violence prevention, prevention education, victim services, public health, student affairs, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of primary prevention, trauma-informed and survivor-centered practice, coordinated community response, culturally responsive programming, and accessibility.
  • Experience leading programs or projects, supervising staff or student employees, and collaborating across partners.
  • Experience with program assessment and with budget and/or grant administration.
  • Excellent written, oral, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for OVPE and coordinate prevention and education efforts.
  • Supervise staff, set priorities, manage budgets and resources.
  • Design and assess comprehensive prevention and education strategies for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Lead campus safety and community partnerships; work with external agencies.
