Job summary

University of Georgia’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) seeks a Director of VTH Operations to lead hospital-wide operations, facilities, equipment, inventory, and safety programs. This senior role supports clinical, teaching, and research missions, ensuring efficient, compliant, and patient-centered operations 24/7.

The DVO will guide change, manage multiple projects, and partner with CVM and university partners to optimize performance, safety, and service quality in a complex teaching

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus 10 years of professional experience including 3 years supervisory.
Experience leading facilities management in complex organizations.
Experience in veterinary teaching hospital or academic medical centers preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with VTH leadership to support clinical, teaching, research, and financial missions.
Lead development and monitoring of operational metrics and KPIs.
Oversee facilities, equipment, inventory, and supply chain operations.
Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
Mentor and evaluate operational managers.
