Silicon Labs in Austin, TX is seeking a Director of Verification to lead US and Europe verification teams for IP, sub-system and SoC verification within the IoT Digital Design group. This role focuses on building capabilities, advancing AI-based verification strategies and delivering multiple MCU-based products across geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical and/or Computer Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in chip design/verification.
• Strong knowledge of architecture & verification methodologies in MCU/ memories/ peripherals/ interconnect/ clocks/ reset/ low power.
• Knowledge of wireless protocols for data-path verification.
• Experience in AI platforms like Cursor / Claude.
• Experience in managing teams and building capabilities from ground up.
• Knowledge of mixed-signal design styles (analog design and integration, RNM modelling, MCU infrastructure elements like clocks/reset/interconnects/IO).
• Strong experience in formal/functional/UPF based verification/coverage.
• Knowledge of chip boot flow / security architecture.
• Strong mindset of team building.

About the team

The IoT Digital Design team is a state-of-the-art IC design team focused on producing world class Wireless MCU SoCs. The architecture specification, design, verification, emulation, and implementation of the Wireless MCU SoCs is the responsibility of the IoT Digital team. These SoCs include an embedded CPU system with analog and digital peripherals, advanced security, advanced power management, and best in class radios to support a wide range of wireless IoT applications and standards. We strive to provide best in class technology solutions through innovation in custom RISC-V Cores and AI/ML components.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Verification Organization in US and Europe for IP / Sub-system / SoC Verification

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong Proven Industry knowledge on architecture & verification methodologies in Chip Infrastructure (MCU/Memories/Peripherals/Interconnect/Clocks/Reset/Low Power)
• Knowledge of wireless protocols to help develop critical skills for data-path verification
• Experience in AI platforms like Cursor / Claude
• Experience in managing teams and building capabilities from ground up.
• Knowledge of Mixed Signal Design Styles (Analog Design and Integration, RNM modelling, MCU infrastructure elements like clocks/reset/interconnects/IO)
• Strong Experience in Formal / Functional / UPF based verification / Coverage to define right strategies for verification.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $166,600 - $309,400 USD.

Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set.

The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.

Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
