Job summary

SCAN is a nonprofit health organization focused on improving care for older adults across multiple states. The Director, Value-Based Care Network & Operations Strategy leads network and operational strategies to enhance Total Cost of Care and affordability while partnering with Clinical Programs and Finance teams.

The role emphasizes non-clinical cost management, contract optimization, and provider engagement to deliver measurable financial impact and high-quality member care.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in value-based care, healthcare operations, provider networks, managed care, or healthcare strategy.
• 5 years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of provider contracting, claims operations, payment methodologies, and healthcare economics.
• Medicare Advantage and value-based care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement TCoC strategies and programs.
• Lead non-clinical cost management initiatives (OOA, CAR-T, transplant, high-cost care).
• Partner with Clinical Programs leadership to identify TCoC opportunities.
• Collaborate with Network Management to optimize provider and facility networks.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and accountability for performance.
• Develop executive reporting and recommendations on TCoC performance.
• Supervise and manage team performance and growth.
• Partner with Payment Integrity, Claims, and Operations to resolve issues.
