Job summary

BioMarin seeks an experienced accounting leader to oversee US controllership, providing finance, accounting, and decision support for Amicus integration. The role requires strong US GAAP expertise, public-company experience, and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams through complex close processes.

You will partner with senior leaders to drive month‑end close, internal controls, and external reporting while guiding process improvements and SAP/S/4HANA stabilization efforts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in controllership, accounting, reporting, and general ledger close.
• Expertise in US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle); ERP implementations a plus.
• Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high‑performing teams in dynamic environments, including integrations or change management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the monthly closing activities for the US region; and Amicus‑related accounting and integration activities.
• Oversight of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses and supporting schedules for SEC reporting and external audit requests.
• Support contract reviews to determine correct US GAAP accounting, providing proactive guidance to business partners.
• Provide leadership and direction to teams supporting accounting operations, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support process transformation, standardization, and SAP S/4 HANA stabilization related to Amicus integration.
• Ensure internal controls are operating effectively; promote automation and AI-enabled tools.
