Job summary

This role requires strategic leadership and collaboration with senior leaders across the organization.

Hybrid schedule with in-office days near Burlington or Durham; 7+ years benefits experience and 3+ years leading teams, plus strong Excel and benefits analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive benefits experience, including health and retirement programs.
• 3+ years of people leadership within a benefits function.
• Experience with benefits analytics, population health strategies, and data-driven program design.
• Experience managing financial aspects of benefits programs including budgeting and ROI analysis.
• Experience in large, complex organizations and 401(k) governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of all U.S. employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, 401(k)).
• Develop and execute a comprehensive benefits strategy to enhance employee experience and manage long-term costs.
• Partner with leadership to leverage data analytics, reporting, and insights to drive decisions.
• Oversee benefits analytics, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
• Provide financial oversight: budgeting, forecasting, cost management, ROI analysis.
• Lead vendor strategy and management, including carrier and consultant relationships and annual renewals.
• Oversee 401(k) administration, governance, education, and committee participation.
• Ensure ERISA, COBRA, FMLA and related compliance; maintain data integrity and audit processes.
• Develop benefits communications and education initiatives for employee engagement.
• Coach and lead a high-performing benefits team; foster accountability and collaboration.
