Job summary

Swiss Re is seeking a senior leader to direct Underwriting Portfolio Management, accountable for delivering the portfolio plan, capital allocation strategy and steering actions that improve risk-adjusted performance and resilience.

You will work hands-on with Palantir and other analytical platforms to test hypotheses, translate analysis into actionable recommendations, and drive measurable improvements across risk and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience analysing and managing complex underwriting portfolios.
• Deep expertise in capital-allocation processes and risk/return analysis.
• Ability to interrogate large datasets and produce decision-ready insights.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the underwriting portfolio plan and capital allocation strategy.
• Assess portfolio economics, risk, return, diversification and capital consumption.
• Work with Palantir and analytics platforms to test hypotheses and form conclusions.
• Identify risks and opportunities early to drive action.
• Translate analysis into steering actions and governance support.
• Collaborate with data, analytics and portfolio teams to improve tools and workflows.
• Present clear recommendations to senior leadership across functions.
