Amerisure is recruiting for a Director, Underwriting Operations to lead a team focused on executing our underwriting strategy through defined goals and process enhancements, while prioritizing people development and mentorship to elevate skills and performance.

This role champions data-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to guidelines to drive underwriting excellence and measurable results across the portfolio, with a hybrid work model and potential office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.
• 7 years middle market marketing and underwriting experience.
• 3 years management experience of middle market underwriters preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct staff in area of responsibility with an emphasis on talent management and succession planning.
• Develop action plans and execute on the overall underwriting portfolio strategy.
• Drive team member outcomes by monitoring performance and implementing solutions.
• Manage underwriter workloads and staffing levels to meet objectives and customer needs.
• Improve efficiency and effectiveness of team by identifying areas for increased productivity and developing procedures.
• Drive alignment to underwriting guidelines and compliance policies.
• Provide guidance and feedback to ensure alignment with underwriting strategy.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve company goals.
• Leverage data-driven insights to optimize underwriting performance.
