Job summary

Amerisure is seeking an Underwriting Specialist to join our West team. The role focuses on underwriting and managing a portfolio of new and renewal accounts, applying sound risk judgment to pricing, and maintaining profitability.

The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 from home in our Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ offices. Strong collaboration with agency partners and ability to travel up to 10% are valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 3 or more years’ underwriting experience in commercial middle market insurance with exposure to large and complex accounts.
  • CIC, CPCU, AU designations preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

We are recruiting for an Underwriting Specialist to join our west team

This is a hybrid position working 3 days in the office and 2 from home in our Dallas TX or Phoenix AZ office.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of new and renewal account, ensuring informed risk selection and pricing decisions in alignment with profitability goals and underwriting guidelines.
