Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in academic advising or related areas in higher education.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading programs or services aimed at improving student success.
• Experience using data and assessment results to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for Florida Tech's undergraduate academic advising program.
• Direct advising operations, including staffing, budget administration, resource allocation, service delivery, and process improvement.
• Recruit, supervise, develop, and evaluate professional advising staff, establishing performance expectations.
• Build and maintain collaborations with colleges, Enrollment Management, and campus units to support student success initiatives.
• Support the use of advising technologies and student information systems to enhance operations and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with FERPA and university policies; represent advising on committees and initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and stay current with trends in academic advising and student success.
