Job summary

Metropolitan Community College is seeking an experienced administrative manager for the TRIO Educational Opportunity Center. The role focuses on leading staff, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and managing the program budget and outreach initiatives.

Limited duration through August 31, 2031, with potential extension based on funding. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related management experience; a Master's degree and TRIO experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Three (3) years of academic, career, or technical management experience.
• Preferred: Master's degree and TRIO or federally funded program experience.
• Experience with federal grant administration and grant writing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, assign work, conduct performance evaluations, and manage hiring/disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Education regulations for TRIO programs.
• Manage assigned budget and monitor expenditures; ensure grant budget compliance.
• Oversee outreach, marketing, and recruitment for the TRIO program.
• Develop strategies, processes, and procedures for assigned programs and departments.
• Direct internal operations for academic development programs, coordinating multiple service areas.
• Serve as liaison for the department to public events, meetings, and outreach activities.
• Collaborate with business, community agencies, and educational institutions.
• Prepare and analyze complex information; conduct needs assessment and program development.
• Coordinate activities to maximize program effectiveness and resource utilization.
