Job summary

International Arts & Artists (IA&A), a nonprofit cultural diplomacy group in Washington, DC, seeks a Director of Museum Outreach and Engagement to lead marketing, sales, and delivery of traveling exhibitions. You will manage a professional team, build long-term venue partnerships, and drive annual divisional revenue while upholding museum standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in exhibitions or tour management with revenue responsibility.
• 5+ years supervisory leadership experience.
• Proven success in relationship-based earned revenue or direct marketing.
• Extensive national and international network in the museum field.
• Broad knowledge of art history and diverse media; touring expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain museum partnerships to secure exhibition presentations.
• Drive revenue by prospecting, negotiating, and closing bookings.
• Direct marketing and communications for tour visibility and bookings.
• Oversee tour delivery, standards, budgets, and contract administration.
• Lead CRM data analytics to forecast and optimize sales processes.
• Represent IA&A at industry events and manage team priorities.
