Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience managing engineering projects.
• At least five years of supervisory or management experience.
• MD Professional Engineer License.
• A valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Transportation Engineering and Construction Division by setting goals, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee procurement of capital projects to ensure compliance with city and federal requirements.
• Manage CIP expenditures and reporting in coordination with FHWA/MDOT SHA.
• Provide technical guidance on complex engineering issues and supervise staff.
• Coordinate activities with other city divisions and external partners.
• Develop policies, procedures, and performance measures for project monitoring.
• Direct project planning, design through construction and closeout.
