Job summary

The University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics (UI Health) seeks a seasoned director to lead Patient Care Services across the Transplant Clinic, Outreach Clinics and Post-Transplant Care. This role directs nursing practice, staffing, quality and operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care across the transplant continuum.

Reporting to the ACOO of Transplant Services, you will foster interdisciplinary collaboration, manage budgets, and drive performance improvement while maintaining

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP required.
• APRN, RN and CNM licenses required.
• DEA licensing eligibility required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care through the management team of providers.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients, families, visitors and colleagues for care coordination.
• Interpret and direct nursing philosophy, policies, and procedures to ensure safe care.
• Plan staffing, workflow, and quality standards for nursing operations.
• Develop patient safety innovations and practice improvement.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Foster shared leadership and collaboration across disciplines to drive decisions.
• Prepare and review staffing budgets and supervise staff performance.
