Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Director of Transmission/Interconnection to drive interconnection and transmission strategies across the national ISO/RTO footprint. You will manage negotiations, oversee existing agreements, and work with regulators, generators, and utilities to advance renewable projects.

You will lead a team of Interconnection Analysts, set priorities, and coordinate with Origination, Development, Project Delivery, and Policy groups to align schedules and ensure compliant execution

Qualifications

• Expertise in negotiating interconnection agreements for renewable projects.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO tariff procedures and generator interconnections.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute interconnection and transmission strategies across all U.S. ISOs and RTOs.
• Negotiate new interconnection agreements and studies with ISOs/third parties.
• Lead a team of interconnection analysts and coach staff.
• Represent Avangrid before transmission owners, ISOs/RTOs, and regulators.
• Collaborate with internal groups to align plans with development schedules.
