Job summary

The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago invite applications for a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator to serve as Transfusion Services faculty Director.

The appointee will provide clinical, scientific, and operational leadership for the Transfusion Services Laboratory and related testing sites.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with eligibility or board certification in Transfusion Medicine; strong commitment to medical education.
• Experience teaching medical students, residents and fellows; excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to clinical, scientific and operational leadership in transfusion services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Transfusion Services Laboratory and select point-of-care testing sites.
• Provide expert consultation and oversee quality, regulatory compliance and financial performance of the lab.
• Promote teaching and education across students, residents, and staff; translate research findings to clinical care.
