Job summary

Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seek a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor to serve as Molecular Genetics faculty Director.

The faculty position reports to the Chief of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Lurie Children's Hospital, with title and scope of responsibility commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO/PhD required or eligible.
  • ABMGG certification or eligibility in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, or dual certification in Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular Genetics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, scientific, and operational leadership for the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory.
  • Direct interpretation and reporting of clinical genomic testing.
  • Oversee quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance of the lab.
  • Lead education and training for medical students, residents, fellows and staff.
