Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management in San Francisco to lead large-scale programs and build a disciplined TPM function. You will drive roadmap alignment, cross-team execution, and architectural decisions across platforms to deliver business impact.

Require 7+ years managing technical programs, strong communication, and Agile delivery experience. MBA or related master's degree is a plus; AWS and SOA experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
7+ years of experience managing technical programs is required.
MBA or Master’s in a related technical field is preferred.
PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
Experience in building TPM maturity and operating models at scale is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead TPM programs aligned with business goals and platform roadmaps.
Establish operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling that scale across portfolios.
Drive cross-platform investment planning and architectural alignment.
Act as executive escalation point for program risks and data-driven tradeoffs.
Define measurable platform outcomes: availability, scalability, cost, and velocity.
