Job summary

Capital One seeks a Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) to drive API strategies within the Enterprise Data team. You will partner with Product, Engineering, ML and Supplier Management to own milestones tied to annual OKRs and success metrics.

You will lead large-scale programs, set TPM discipline standards, and mentor teams while ensuring data-driven tradeoffs across speed, cost and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 7+ years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience with distributed computing / SOA.
• Experience with AWS and cloud architecture.
• MBA or master’s in a related field preferred.
• PMP/Lean/Agile/Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive TPM delivery strategy and roadmaps.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, ML and Supplier Management.
• Ensure architectural alignment for platform convergence and reuse.
• Act as executive escalation point for program risks.
• Measure outcomes: availability, scalability, cost, developer velocity.
