Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Director of Therapy Operations to lead the Therapy team and oversee program development, compliance, and patient care across our inpatient rehabilitation services. You will guide policy implementation, clinical affiliations, and operational forecasting while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Current State license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited therapy program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree in professional or management area preferred.
• Minimum of five years of rehabilitation experience, including two years in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, implement, and communicate policies, processes, and procedures, holding staff accountable for their roles.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to educate staff and the community about awareness, prevention, and treatment options; develop and support clinical affiliations and relationships with educational institutions.
• Forecast operational revenues and expenses using historical data and trends; make salary adjustment recommendations based on market conditions.
• Ensure knowledge of state, federal, and professional regulatory requirements for program reimbursement, standards, legal issues, and documentation; update staff and advise the CEO as needed.
• Provide patient care and celebrate staff and patient successes throughout the process.

• Possess in-depth knowledge of state, federal, and professional regulatory requirements for program reimbursement, business standards, legal issues, and documentation requirements, and apply them to program operations and departments. Educate and communicate updates and changes in standards to the staff and advise the CEO on the needs required for effective program operation and implementation.
• Provide patient care.

Qualifications
