Qualifications

• Must have recreation experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Bachelor's or Associates degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Minimum 3 yrs. of Activities Director experience.
• Must possess current CTRS certification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and supervise all recreational services.
• Maintain and develop recreational budget.
• Plan individual and group recreation services, both therapeutic and general.
• Create exciting and therapeutic recreation programs.
• Directly supervise all recreation assistants and volunteers.
• Maintain all necessary documentation.
• Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employees.
• Be a member of the interdisciplinary & management teams.
• Plan monthly resident council meetings and act as staff liaison.
• Take minutes of meetings and address resident concerns.
• Coordinate community programming and represent the facility at local events.
