Job summary

RTX Corporation in McKinney, TX is seeking a Director of Test Calibration and Equipment Maintenance. This onsite leadership role will guide a team of engineers, technicians, and managers to assure equipment readiness and compliance with calibration standards across the Surveillance Portfolio.

Role requires flexibility beyond 40 hours/week and up to 15% domestic travel; ISO 9001 and AS9100 experience is essential. Relocation eligible with comprehensive benefits across RTX business units.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience required.
• Advanced degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 14 years of prior relevant experience, or 12+ years with an advanced degree.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government clearance is required.
• Experience with DoD environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead calibration and maintenance strategy for test equipment across Surveillance Portfolio.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to align equipment performance with program requirements.
• Drive calibration process innovations to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Manage budgets and resources for calibration labs and maintenance activities.
• Mentor technicians, engineers, and managers to build high-performing teams.
• Ensure environmental, health, and safety regulations are followed in operations.
• Provide regular status reports to senior leadership on readiness and metrics.
• This is an onsite role in McKinney, TX.
